At Vista Therapy, our trauma counselling and therapy goes far beyond helping you to cope. Instead, you work through what’s underneath, in a safe and supported environment. The result? You find calm and connection, so you can feel right in your own skin again.

I’m Karl Jacks, a credentialed mental health nurse and trauma therapist.

Over more than 20 years, in the UK and Australia, I’ve supported people through some of life’s hardest challenges. My focus is on overcoming the lasting effects of trauma on people's lives. I work with individuals who have suffered childhood and/or adult adversity and trauma. I also train other professionals and support workers in advanced trauma workshops and mater-classes.

Our online trauma counselling makes therapy accessible wherever you are in Australia. Proven to be as effective as face-to-face therapy, online counselling is convenient and easy – and you may find it less confronting too.

If you’d rather meet in person and geography allows, we offer sessions at our Surfers Paradise location. Calm, confidential and comfortable, with plenty of support and care.
