Medicare
Mental Health Treatment Plan

You may be eligible for a Medicare rebate when seeing an eligible Vista psychologist or Accredited Mental Health Social Worker.

How it works:

Book with Vista

You do not need a GP referral to contact or book with us. A $100 deposit secures your appointment and your therapist’s reserved time.

See your GP

Before your appointment, ask your GP whether a Mental Health Treatment Plan is appropriate. If eligible, tell your GP you have chosen Vista and provide your therapist’s name for the referral.

Attend your Vista appointment

The remaining fee is payable after your session.

We process your Medicare rebate

Where eligible, we process your Medicare rebate for you after your appointment.

Private
(
Self-Funded)

You can book privately with Vista without a GP referral or Mental Health Treatment Plan.

For some people, private therapy is the simplest and most discreet option, giving you greater choice and control over how you access care.

You can:

  • book directly with Vista without first seeing your GP

  • choose from a broader range of Vista therapists

  • decide whether you want your GP involved in your care

  • avoid Medicare referral and claiming requirements

  • be matched with a Vista therapist based on needs, preferences and availability

  • receive structured, goal-focused therapy

  • have us clarify the funding requirements before your appointment
