Are therapy sessions confidential?

Yes, therapy sessions are confidential and conducted with discretion, following professional and ethical standards. There are rare exceptions under Australian law, such as immediate risks of harm, which will be explained during the informed consent process. At Vista Advanced Psychological Therapy, we prioritize your privacy by not uploading clinical notes to the My Health Record system. Online sessions are secure, using encrypted technology to ensure your information remains private. If you have any concerns about confidentiality, feel free to discuss them during your first appointment.

What are your fees?

Accepted Answer

Fees vary according to the clinician, appointment length and funding pathway. A 60-minute session is $300 with Vista’s Director or a highly experienced Principal Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, and $230 with a Registered Psychologist. Medicare rebates may be available to eligible clients with a current Mental Health Treatment Plan. Vista does not offer bulk-billed appointments. NDIS, WorkCover and Victim Assist services are charged at the applicable approved or agreed rate. Full payment is required at the time of booking for private and Medicare-rebateable appointments to secure your appointment.Visit our 'Fees' page for further information on fees and rebates.
